The West Cemetery is home to the most impressive architectural features – the Chapel, Colonnade, Egyptian Avenue, Circle of Lebanon, Terrace Catacombs and the mausoleum of Julius Beer, experience its unique atmosphere on your 70 minute guided tour before exploring the East cemetery at leisure. Many famous names, along with interesting and creative memorials can be found here including Karl Marx, Jeremy Beadle and Malcolm McLaren, Victorian Highgate is the resting place for 170,000 people in 53,000 graves. A fish n chip lunch with fruit crumble, custard and a hot drink completes the package. Please note reasonable mobility is required with sensible shoes particularly for the West Cemetery were paths are uneven, steep and involve two flights of stairs, the East Cemetery is on a gentle slope with predominantly tarmac paths. Rain will not abandon the visit.

Meet Santa on the river Thames as he’s swapped his sleigh for a boat! Fun for everyone as Santa’s going on the river – yo ho, ho – and you can go with him! Children will enjoy Santa fun and a present along with a soft drink and a cookie as you glide along the Thames. Adults can console themselves for growing up with a glass of mulled wine (or hot drink) and a mince pie. While the wonderment continues we’ll transfer you to the iconic Shard for perhaps a little sleigh searching along the skyline – Santa has to leave the boat some time and from the highest building in London you might just spot him.
