We begin with time for refreshments at the well-heeled Windsor Farm Shop where the Queen sells her produce - game from Sandringham, Highland beef from Balmoral and organic eggs from a palatial chicken run the size of a rugby pitch! With the Blue Badge Guide there’s a short coach tour to Eton where we step down outside the most famous school in the world to walk along the historic High Street leading to the River Thames and Windsor. It’s a walk of about 1000 yards. After free time for lunch by the river we cruise past the only island racecourse in the UK and past the beautiful riverside homes of the stars. We see the original Hammer House of Horror and Brunel’s famous Sounding Arch immortalised in JMW Turner’s painting “Rain, Steam and Speed”.
